Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles and other structures. Myofascial release uses gentle, sustained hands-on pressure around areas that feel restricted, rather than quick or forceful movements.
It may suit someone who feels general stiffness or a pulling sensation and would prefer a slower style of bodywork. Before treatment, Leanne asks about your comfort, areas of restriction, and any relevant health history so the session can be tailored to you.
During the session, pressure is held and adjusted gradually as you respond. You can tell Leanne if a position or technique is uncomfortable. The intention is to support a more comfortable sense of movement; it is not a substitute for assessment of new or unexplained pain.
